Products Description of Ethyl Vinyl Ether CAS#109-92-2
Ethyl vinyl ether is a colorless, flammable liquid with high chemical reactivity. It can readily undergo polymerization in both liquid and gas phases; therefore, industrial-grade products typically contain polymerization inhibitors to improve storage stability.
It has a freezing point of -115℃, a boiling point of 35–36℃, and a melting point of -115.8℃. The relative density is 0.754 (20/20℃), with a refractive index of 1.3767. Its flash point is -45.5℃, autoignition temperature is 201.66℃, and viscosity is 0.22 mPa·s at 20℃.
Ethyl vinyl ether is slightly soluble in water, with a solubility of approximately 0.9% by weight. Its flammable range in air is 1.7%–28% by volume.

Product Application of Ethyl Vinyl Ether CAS#109-92-2
Ethyl vinyl ether is used in the pharmaceutical field as an anesthetic and analgesic agent. It also serves as an important intermediate for fine chemicals and sulfadiazine production. In addition, it can be utilized as a monomer for copolymer synthesis, a raw material in organic synthesis, and an ingredient for the preparation of fragrances and lubricant additives.
