Alkylbenzene Sulfonate, mainly consisting of the sodium salts of C10–C13 alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, is a widely used anionic surfactant with CAS No. 68411-30-3. It typically appears as a pale yellow viscous liquid, paste, or off-white powder, depending on its active content and physical grade. It dissolves readily in water and exhibits good stability under weakly acidic and alkaline conditions. With excellent wetting, penetration, emulsifying, and oil-removal properties, it is widely used in household detergents and industrial cleaning formulations. Compared with conventional Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) products, it offers strong penetration and degreasing performance, making it suitable for applications requiring efficient removal of grease, dirt, and stubborn contaminants. It is commonly used in laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, industrial cleaners, textile processing agents, and oilfield chemical formulations. Product Application
It is widely used as core raw material for heavy-duty industrial cleaners, metal degreasers and dewaxing agents. In textile printing and dyeing industry, it works as scouring agent, wetting penetrant and dye dispersant for cotton and chemical fiber pretreatment. It serves as emulsifier for emulsion polymerization, oil displacement auxiliary and corrosion inhibitor in oilfield exploitation. It can also be used as dispersant in pesticide formulations, additive for paper deinking and anti-static agent for fiber products. Its stable alkali resistance and strong penetration make it preferred for high-temperature and high-strength cleaning processes that common surfactants cannot satisfy.
