Aluminium Sulfate CAS#7784-31-8
Aluminum sulfate dissolves easily in water while being insoluble in ethanol. It cannot dissolve in concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrolyzes gradually in aqueous solutions. Upon heating to 770°C, it decomposes into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, sulfur dioxide and water vapor.

Product Application of Aluminium Sulfate
Aluminum sulfate finds extensive applications in the papermaking sector. Under acidic conditions with a small surplus of sulfuric acid, it regulates the pH of pulp slurry, treats process water, fixes dyes, and precipitates soluble resin to lock sizing agents onto fiber surfaces. When used in a weakly alkaline state with excess alumina, it serves for potable water and sewage treatment, notably for phosphorus removal. It is also widely adopted in textile dyeing, leather tanning, and as a catalyst, concrete modifier, and feedstock for multiple chemical and pharmaceutical syntheses.
