Products Description
Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether is a colorless, stable, hygroscopic liquid with a mild and pleasant odor. It is fully miscible with water, alcohols, ethers, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, as well as halogenated hydrocarbons. Due to the presence of ether, alcohol, and hydrocarbon groups in its molecular structure, it exhibits excellent solvent properties and can dissolve a wide range of substances, including oils, fats, waxes, dyes, camphor, and natural resins such as copal, kauri, mastic, rosin, sandarac, and shellac, along with various synthetic resins. It is commonly employed as a solvent in synthetic resin coating formulations and lacquers, particularly in applications requiring high-boiling-point solvents.

Product Applications
Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether has a low freezing point and low viscosity at low temperatures, making it suitable for use in brake fluid formulations. In the paint industry, it serves as a flow and gloss enhancer. It is also utilized in the manufacture of printing inks and as a cleaning agent in offset printing. In the textile industry, it acts as a solvent for dyestuffs during the printing and dyeing of fibers and fabrics. Additionally, it is used in the production of wood preservatives.
