Potassium peroxymonosulfate (CAS 70693-62-8), commercially known as Oxone or potassium monopersulfate, is a free-flowing white granular triple salt with the formula 2KHSO₅·KHSO₄·K₂SO₄. It is a mild, easy-to-handle solid oxidizer whose active species is peroxymonosulfate (HSO₅⁻), widely used in water treatment, organic synthesis and household cleaning.

Product Application
Potassium peroxymonosulfate is a versatile solid oxidizer mainly used in water treatment, organic synthesis, household and industrial cleaning.
In water treatment, it is used as a swimming pool and spa sanitizer, replacing chlorine where chloramine odor and eye irritation must be avoided. It is also used for aquaculture pond disinfection, sewage and industrial wastewater oxidation to degrade COD, color and odor compounds, and for biofilm control in cooling systems.
In organic synthesis, Oxone is a standard reagent for epoxidation of alkenes, oxidation of alcohols to ketones, conversion of amines to nitro compounds, and Baeyer–Villiger oxidation. It is valued as a safer alternative to peracetic acid and mCPBA.
In household and industrial cleaning, it is the active ingredient in denture-cleaning tablets, dishwasher additives, laundry bleaches and oven cleaners. It is also used in electronics PCB cleaning, pulp and paper bleaching, and as a sanitizer in food and beverage processing.
