Bromochlorohydantoin, commonly abbreviated as BCDMH, has CAS 16079-88-2, molecular formula C₅H₆BrClN₂O₂ and molecular weight 241.47. It belongs to halogenated hydantoin biocide, appearing as white or off-white crystalline powder, granules or tablets. It gradually hydrolyzes in water to release active bromine and active chlorine, delivering continuous disinfection activity. It keeps stable under dry and sealed storage, and should be kept away from strong reducing agents. It is classified as oxidizing substance. Normally packed in 25kg drums, this product is widely supplied for industrial water treatment and recreational water disinfection projects.

Product Application
It is a highly efficient biocide primarily used for industrial circulating cooling water, swimming pools, spa pools and landscape water disinfection to control bacteria, slime and algae growth. It works as sterilant in oilfield injection water, pulp and paper mill water systems. It can also be applied in wastewater disinfection and aquaculture water purification. Besides water treatment, it serves as a preservative and mildew inhibitor in some leather and coating formulations.
