Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a colorless, odorless, sweet-tasting viscous liquid in its pure form. It has a boiling point of 290°C, a melting point of 17.9°C, and a relative density of 1.2613. This compound is completely soluble in water in all proportions, and anhydrous glycerin exhibits strong hygroscopic properties.
