Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate CAS#7722-76-1
Diammonium phosphate (short for DAP) is a high-efficiency nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer, widely applied for vegetables, fruits, rice, wheat, corn and other field & cash crops. The mainstream specification is 18-46-0, containing 18% nitrogen and 46% P₂O₅. It appears as off-white or light yellow free-flowing granules, with good water solubility.
It provides readily available ammonium nitrogen and phosphate, promoting strong root growth, boosting flower bud formation and fruit setting, and raising crop yield and produce quality. Its weakly alkaline property works well for acidic soil improvement, and it can be used as base fertilizer, seed fertilizer or top dressing.
Apart from agricultural use, DAP also has industrial applications: it serves as fermentation nutrient for yeast culture, fire retardant, feed additive, buffer agent and raw material for food processing.
