Ammonium phosphate dibasic CAS#7783-28-0
Diammonium phosphate (DAP), also called diammonium hydrogen phosphate, is a compound fertilizer supplying two primary nutrients: nitrogen and phosphorus. It is a high-concentration, quick-release fertilizer featuring excellent water solubility and low sediment formation when dissolved. It adapts well to diverse crops and soils, especially varieties with high nitrogen and phosphorus demand. It can be applied as either basal fertilizer or topdressing; deep placement is recommended to achieve optimal efficiency. Standard DAP contains 18% nitrogen (N) and 48% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅). It crystallizes in flat oblique prisms, with a water solubility of 71% at 25°C.
