Products Description of Silica Gel CAS#112926-00-8
Silicone gel is a special class of silicone rubber featuring low crosslink density and free of any fillers. Different from ordinary silicone rubber elastomers, it shows a transparent or translucent gel form, accompanied by extremely low mechanical strength. Its hardness cannot be easily tested via standard conventional methods, and needle penetration is generally adopted to assess its physical consistency.
Besides the inherent merits of silicone materials — wide high-low temperature resistance, safety, non-toxicity, favorable biocompatibility and superior electrical insulation — silicone gel also possesses unique gel-state functionalities, including vibration damping, adhesion and sealing capacity.
