Sodium polyphosphate CAS#68915-31-1
Sodium polyphosphate is a colourless, transparent glassy solid available in lump or flake form. It dissolves in water while showing no solubility in organic solvents. This material is strongly hygroscopic; it will hydrolyse to form orthophosphate when exposed to warm water, acidic or alkaline solutions. Its melting point is 616 °C, where decomposition takes place, and its relative density (d₂₀/₂₀) is 2.484.
