Safety and Storage

Isobornyl Acrylate should be handled according to its current Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Acrylate monomers may cause skin or eye irritation and allergic skin sensitization. Avoid direct contact and inhalation of vapors or mists. Use suitable chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear, protective clothing, and adequate ventilation. Store in a tightly closed, appropriately labeled container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat, ignition sources, direct sunlight, and incompatible materials. Follow the supplier's recommended temperature range and inhibitor requirements, and do not remove the polymerization inhibitor unless specifically instructed by qualified personnel.
Product Description
Isobornyl Acrylate (IBOA), CAS No. 5888-33-5, is a specialty acrylate monomer characterized by its bulky bicyclic isobornyl group and reactive acrylate functionality. It is widely used as a functional monomer and reactive diluent in the production of high-performance polymers and radiation-curable materials. Its molecular structure helps balance hardness, flexibility, adhesion, and dimensional stability, making it a valuable ingredient in formulations where surface performance and durability are important.
