Product Description
Barium acetate (CAS 543-80-6, Ba(CH₃COO)₂) is a white crystalline inorganic salt, highly soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It is a standard water-soluble barium source used as a mordant, analytical reagent, catalyst and precursor for other barium compounds and barium-containing materials.
Key features:
White crystalline powder, free-flowing and easy to dissolve.
High water solubility, convenient for aqueous formulation.
Decomposes on heating above ~450 °C to barium carbonate/oxide.
Reliable source of Ba²⁺ for precipitation and catalyst preparation.
Tight control of chloride, sulfate and heavy-metal impurities.
Available in reagent and industrial grades.
