Products Description
Melamine is a trimer of cyanamide characterized by a 1,3,5-triazine ring structure. It is a white, crystalline chemical compound with the molecular formula C₃H₆N₆ and is structurally related to cyanamide. Its cyclic molecular structure consists of a six-membered ring of alternating carbon and nitrogen atoms, with three amino (–NH₂) groups attached. Melamine can react with methanal (formaldehyde) through copolymerization to produce thermosetting melamine resins, which are widely used in laminated coatings and other durable surface materials.
