Products Description
Zirconium carbonate is a white, powdery solid with distinct solubility characteristics. It is soluble in ammonium carbonate and readily dissolves in organic acids, forming the corresponding zirconium organic acid salts. It also exhibits relatively high solubility in inorganic acids, while remaining insoluble in water and most organic solvents. Due to its thermal instability, zirconium carbonate readily decomposes when exposed to heat and is therefore unsuitable for prolonged storage. Upon high-temperature calcination, it can be converted into zirconium oxide (ZrO₂), making it a useful precursor in the production of zirconium-based materials.

Product Applications
Zirconium carbonate serves as an important basic raw material for the production of various zirconium salts and is widely utilized across numerous industrial and high-tech applications. Its uses include functional and structural ceramics, automotive exhaust gas treatment, photoluminescent materials, leather processing, papermaking, cosmetics, and paint drying agents. In addition, it is considered one of the most cost-effective raw materials for manufacturing ultrafine zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂), making it valuable in the production of advanced zirconium-based materials and chemical products.
