Poly(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate CAS#25852-47-5
Poly(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate (PEGDMA, CAS 25852-47-5) is a difunctional acrylate crosslinking monomer. Low molecular weight grades appear as clear, pale yellow viscous liquids, while high molecular weight grades are white solid or powder.
It features good hydrophilicity, low skin irritation and excellent UV curing performance. After crosslinking, the cured film shows flexibility, low shrinkage and great biocompatibility. It is soluble in common acrylate monomers and organic solvents, and incompatible with water at high concentrations.
PEGDMA is widely used in the preparation of hydrogels, UV-curable coatings, adhesives, dental composite materials, 3D printing photosensitive resins and biocompatible polymer scaffolds.
For storage, keep the product sealed, away from light, heat and oxidants. Stabilizer is added to prevent premature polymerization.
